Robert, known as Bobby, was a dairyman (1940,s) and lorry driver with
Wimpey (1950's), before joining BP. There was a dairy facility at
Claremont, Sunnyside Road, Brightons. Initially, he used a horse and cart
to deliver milk in the Brightons area, and later used a small van.
Robert was interested in gardening, reading and breeding cagebirds,
especially budgies. He helped with the annual show of cagebirds in the
Town Hall in Falkirk.
In 1966, whilst Bobby was recovering from an appendix operation in Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary, he suffered a relapse and died on the 20th Jan. His ashes were interred in Grandstable Cemetery. | Porteous, Robert Gardiner (I7319)
