    Notes:

    Chrystobel was a respected member of the Christchurch Art community. In 1925 she was awarded the School of Fine Art's medal for 'Special Excellence in Modelling' & upon her death a Scholarship Fund was set-up in her name(s).
    Christobel was an artist of some repute and known as Chrystabel.
    A student of the School of Fine Arts.
    In 1925 she was awarded the School medal for "Special Excellence in Modelling"
    This was the only time that the annual medal had been awarded to a sculpture student
    She was a member of the Christchurch Group Art Collective from 1936 to 1966, an elected member of the New Zealand Society of Artists and a member of the Canterbury Society of Artists.
    Some of her paintings and sculptures are in Dunedin gallery, whilst her medal and a number of her works is also in the Te Papa collection in Wellington.
    Christobel resided at Chester Street, Christchurch before moving into a nursing home in 2002.
    After dying at the age of 101 in Jan 2005, her will provided a legacy for a scholarship fund to be set up in Chrystabel's name at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury. The purpose of the fund "is to support students who face financial challenges which would otherwise prevent them from considering entry to tertiary education, or to assist with costs associated with Art History field trips for students."

    Brent was a passenger, asleep on the back seat of a car when the car he was in was involved in a traffic accident. Going through an intersection, with the green light another car slammed into them. He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and was unconscious for a month before his life support system was turned off.

Then started producing furniture, mainly for the hospitality industry. This business was registered in 1959 as Framecraft Products Ltd. and is now known as Framecraft Furniture and run by his daughter, Lee, and two of his sons, Glenn and Stephen.
