Alex was "best man" at the wedding of his brother James, in 1937
Alex is nearly blind and was walking with the aid of a Zimmer Frame when he had a bad fall in the Autumn of 2004. At the time of writing, Jan 2005, he was in hospital and was not expected to get home.
