  • Notes 
    • Attended Branksome Hall School and the University of Toronto.
      Margaret became a Journalist at the "Toronto Telegram", then President and Director of Monitor Publishing Enterprises, Montreal and a Director of "Gallup Poll".
      She was elected to the British House of Commons as the Conservative member for York-Humber, in the 1953 election.
      Went to the General Assembly of the UN, in 1956, and became the first woman Chairman of the Standing Committee on Standing Orders. Margaret held her seat in the British Parliament in the election of 1958 but was defeated in the General Election of 1962.
