Notes |
- He was born with the name Duncan Alexander McDuff, known later as Alexander McDuff Crerar
He was adopted by his grandparents and brought up believing they were his parents. It was only when he married that he found out that his eldest sister was his birth mother. He then had nothing further to do with his family when he emigrated to Australia.
Alexander attended school in Gartmore. Lynn McCambridge has a bible given to him by the school.
After their first child, Margaret, was born and died a few days after the birth, they emigrated to Australia.
Initially they resided at Cowra, NSW, later moving to Ungarie, NSW.
