- In 1910 her father wrote a letter to Nan Judge. In it he described Gyp as being "our housekeeper and home ruler."
She was educated at the College of Librarianship, Pasadena.
At the family reunion held at Silvermine Farm on 17 Aug. 1968, Gyp was Beaverbrook's representative
According to one Beaverbrook biography, Gyp use to send each of all her nephews, nieces and grandchildren 1 pound at Christmas. At the end of her life, she was distributing 104 pound.
