  • Notes
    • The birth was originally registered as Catherine Hutton Arthur in 1910, the informants
being Jane Hutton, mother and Alexander Arthur, father. The birth was reregistered
in 1964 as Catherine Hutton Arthur Porteous.

It was only 3 short years before Kate was widowed when her husband was killed when the scaffolding he was working on collapsed. This was at or near the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. David died on 31 Jul 1936, in the Infirmary.

The informant on the death of Catherine Porteous was her son, Stuart McLeod
