a letter, written by this Robert's father to Robert's brother Thomas, it says; "I am sorry to inform you that on the 25th of January Brother Robert lost his eldest son Peter a fine boy 6 years old of water in the head and about the same time Alexander Little Bobbys second son died suddenly he went to bed in his usual good health and died in less than half an hour." Punctuation is as it was in the letter.
I do not know who this, "Alexander", is, yet. Probably he was this Robert's son. Doubt arises because the letter refers to Brother Robert and then in the same sentence as Little Bobby as if they were two different people.
Robert was variously described as a labourer, telegraph inspector and a mechanical engineer
