- Known by her neices as "Mary Tea Breid" due to the fact that she always had 'tea bread' for their afternoon tea when they came to visit.
In 1966 Mary was on a bus trip to Ayr when she was found dead.
Mary was pronounced dead on the arrival of the ambulance, at County Hospital, Ayr, on 31 May 1966. No cause of death was given.
The informant of the death of Mary A K Begg was her son John Aitken.
