  The Ogden Standard-Examiner Thursday, May 20, 1954 page one PROSPECTOR SLAIN; WAS EX-HUSBAND OF OGDEN WOMAN Kanab - The bullet-punctured body of a veteran prospecting and mining engineer was found in the foothills west of here last night. The dead man was idenitifed as LeRoy A. Wilson, 60, of Veyo, Utah, who is survived by his former wife, Mrs. Margarite Nelson Wilson, and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Phol, both of Ogden; another daughter, Miss Goldie Wilson Soleberg, of San Diego; and two sons, LeRoy Albert Wilson Jr., of Burley, Idaho, and Gerald Wilson Soleberg, of San Diego, Calif. Kane County Sheriff Mason Weeks said Wilson had been shot four times, twice in the back, once in the face and once in the arm. A man identified as Tom Holland of Beryl, Iron County, was being held in the Cedar City jail today for investigation in connection with the case.
