      John was a very good artist and attended art college but when his father died he had to go to work.
      Whilst doing his National Service he was a police dog handler, his dog's name was Raffles, and stationed at Macmerry and Germany.
      He also worked on the Railways for a while but was a coal miner most of his life
      Informant on the death of John was his son in law Daniel Dunlop
