- Looks like he lied about his age when he joined the army as he died in 1916 supposedly aged 20. See SP service and war returns, 128/AF, 215.
Looks like he was a Lance Corporal in the Seaforth Highlanders 2nd Bn. S/7883. Comemorated at Thiepval Memorial. France. Probably killed on the first day of the attack north of Gommecourt to Maricourt front, part of the Battle of the Somme
