    • Colin was a seaman serving aboard HM Minesweeping Trawler Ebor Wyke when it was torpedoed by the German U-boat U979 off the Hrafneyn Light about 7 miles north of Skagi, Iceland, on the 2 May 1945 in North Atlantic. His death is commemorated on the Lowestoft Naval Memorial, Suffolk - panel 117, column 1.
