    His birth, according to his daughter on his Death Certificate, was about 1873. There is a Robert Bews born about 1873 residing with his widowed mother, named JAMIMA, at 5 Gibsons Court, Edinburgh in 1881. Some doubt as to the spelling of his last name. Bews or BEWES?
    It looks like he was a Brick Worker residing with his sister at 15 Murdoch Terrace, Edinburgh, during the 1901 Census.
