Jim and Joyce went on holiday to Spain. When he arrived back home he was very ill. The doctor tried to get Jim out of bed but Jim fell and broke two toes. He was then taken to St. John's hospital and was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had probably been suffering from this for 4 years.
